Our Journey as Producers of Fleckvieh Simmental Cattle.

DLD LADY Western

DLD Lady Western 48R – pictured Sept 29, 2010

Born: January 28, 2005
Sire: King Arthur
Dam SRN Ms. Western 2Y (Sim Roc C&B Western x Monet)
H/P: Horned

‘Lady’ is an impressive King Arthur daughter of SRN 2Y—the two individuals who make up the most influential bloodlines to  impact the Dora Lee Fleckvieh program.  When you see this combination in Lady, it’s clear why we hold these two individuals in such high esteem.   I still remember SRN 2Y getting off the truck in 1991 with her heifer calf at side.  2Y was the cow that convinced me that someday I would have Fleckvieh cattle.   We are honoured to have a daughter walk our pasture – and what a daughter she is!

To date, Lady has given us two Antonius daughters (Diva and Danica – both working in our herd) and two Equinox sons (Ensign and Envoy).  Her son Ensign was the high selling Fullblood bull at the 2011 Red Deer Simmental Bull Sale selling to Langer Fleckvieh, while Envoy was the selection from the Bull Expo for the 2011 National Trust and sold to Lone Stone Simmentals.  Her 2012 calf was a really nice Broadway heifer that we are sure will follow her mothers’ footsteps here at Applecross

Heifer or bull, all of Lady Western’s offspring have been impressive to date.
