Sometimes we have calves that just name themselves, and such is the case with ‘Batman’, who’s pigment comes down over his face to create his ‘mask’. After the success of his paternal brother in ‘Payday’ in last years sale, we thought it only appropriate to start our 2026 sale offering with another Pilot son in ‘Batman’. We have been very impressed with the Crossroad Pilot progeny to date, as the calves come easy, are vigorous, and appear to have more growth than most ‘heifer bulls’. Batman’s dam is a hard working Eclipse daughter, a bull we are highly familiar with, having helped develop him as an early polled highly maternal breeding piece 20 years ago. The dam side is further backed by the BEE Crokus cow family, who continues to produce outstanding progeny for the elite BLL program. Depth of pedigree and little different genetic twist, combine in a very attractive, smooth made package that is ‘Batman’.
