Homozygous Polled. Dilutor Free. Full Fleckvieh. In our search for genetics to weave into our herd, the hardest thing to find has always been a (relatively) outcross heifer bull that will do ‘more’ than just calve out. As a result, we have spent most of the past year trying to figure out how we could retain ‘Payday’ to use for ourselves. He simply checks so many boxes for what we look for to use in our program, with a calving ease sire backed by a very strong cow family. Unfortunately for us, between our ‘P-cow family’ and the ‘WowEffect’ influence walking here, Payday is related to roughly half our herd, allowing us to offer him to the industry. His dam is a young cow we are excited about – being a full sibling to ‘Applecross Penny’ who was our high seller at Equation 2019 to Virginia Ranch and who now walks at Skywest. We feel Payday represents a unique breeding piece that is right for today’s industry. Quiet as a kitten, one lucky bidder will be able to make everyday, Payday.
