Rocky is an intriguing herd bull prospect. With a pedigree that reads calving ease, he came out a little larger then you would expect. We have found that his sire, APLX Rambo, produces calves to fit the dams (he has been good on our heifers, but we get bigger calves when he is used on mature cows). Rocky is a paternal brother to ‘Pippa’, our high seller at Equation 2017 and maternal brother to ‘Emerald’ who sold to Lemieux Ranching in Equation 2015. Despite being a February calf, Rocky has kept up with his older running mates, and will lead the group in performance on an adjusted basis. A neat combination of style, maternal traits and a great hip, Rocky tops it off with a smooth polled head and style for miles.
