Lot 33: Applecross Beyonce 28N

Heterozygous Polled.  Dilutor Free.  Full Fleckvieh. The second of our two Journey daughters on offer is Beyonce, a tidy heifer that should develop into a no-nonsense type cow.  Journey’s progeny often tend to arrive similarly stamped ‘Simmental brown’, while also carrying capacity, broodiness, and nicely developing udders that also represent the breed!  On the maternal side, Beyonce is out of Applecross Bianca, a dark red, star-headed cow who was Dennis’s favourite as an open heifer.  She produced very well for us; including a daughter, Brienne (offered at Equation 2019) and herd bulls Denzel (Red Deer 2021) and Casino (Red Deer 2023). Proven Old-school Fleckvieh genetics dominate the dam side of the pedigree, including Seldom, C&B Western, King Arthur and Broadway.  An intriguing blend of old and new, Beyonce is a well put-together female, with lots of pigment, that will be a great addition to any herd.
