As we continue our journey to add the polled gene to our program, Ivy becomes a very difficult female to sell, as this moderate framed powerhouse is exactly the type of heifer that we are trying to develop.  At the same token, since Ivy does represent our future – marketing her gives producers a great idea of the type of females we think will drive the industry forward.  Ivy’s dam, Applecross Isabelle, is also an impressive young cow, and looks more like her dam, DLD Lady Western 48R than any of the other 48R daughters we have walked here (and we retained them all!).  Ivy is a very easy-doing female, with lots of pigment and multi-generations of proven cow families behind her.  With endless mating options, we expect Ivy to become a cornerstone cow.

Ivy was selected by Robb Farms, Maidstone, SK for $17,000.
